Product Introduction

Talc, PULVISTALCI in English, is a white or quasi-white, fine, unsanded powder with greasy feeling when touched by hands, and it is odorless and tasteless. This product is insoluble in water, dilute mineral acid or dilute alkali hydroxide solution. It can be used for medicines. The main component of talc is soapstone composed of hydrated magnesium silicate, whose molecular formula is Mg3[Si4O10](OH)2. Talc belongs to monoclinic system with pseudo-hexagonal or occasionally rhombic flaky crystals. It usually exists as dense massive, foliated, radial and fibrous aggregates; it is colorless, transparent or white, but light green, light yellow, light brown or even light red due to the presence of a small amount of impurities; and the cleavage plane exhibits a pearly luster.

Application Fields

(1) Cosmetic grade (HZ): used for moisturizing powder, beauty powder, talcum powder, etc.

(2) Medicine-food grade (YS): used for sugar-coated tablets and pulvis (e.g. Paracetamol Caffeine Aspirin Powder), prickly heat powder and traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions, food additives, separant, etc.

(3) Coating grade (TL): used for white extender pigments, water-based and oil-based resins for industrial coatings, primers, protective paints, etc.

(4) Papermaking grade (ZZ): used for fillers in all kinds of paper and paperboard, wood pitch control agent.

(5) Plastic grade (SL): used for fillers in polypropylene, nylon, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polystyrene and polyester plastics.

(6) Rubber grade (AJ): used for rubber filler and anti-sticking agent for rubber products.

(7) Cable Grade (DL): used for cable rubber extender and cable separant.

(8) Ceramics Grade (TC): used for manufacturing of electroceramics, radio ceramics, industrial ceramics, architectural ceramics, domestic ceramics, ceramic glazes, etc.

(9) Waterproof material grade (FS): used for waterproof rolls, waterproof coatings, waterproof ointment, etc.

(10) Fine talc powder: used for high-grade paint coating, plastics, cable rubber, cosmetics, art paper coating, textile lubricant, etc.
